Privacy policy

Last updated 28 October 2026

This policy explains how Amolabs Ltd ("Aimaseo", "we") collects and uses information when you use aimaseo.com and the Aimaseo application. We are the data controller for the personal data described here, and we're registered with the UK Information Commissioner's Office. Contact: support@aimaseo.com. Aimaseo is a trading name of Amolabs Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17129826). Registered office: Unit 26/4 Silicon Centre, C/O Wispville, 28 Wadsworth Road, Perivale, UB6 7JZ, United Kingdom.

What we collect

  • Website audits: the website address you submit and publicly available content from that website (the same content any visitor or search engine can see).
  • Account information: your email address and name, and if you sign in with Google, your Google account identifier.
  • Google data you connect: with your permission, read-only Google Search Console performance data for websites you have access to (search queries, pages, clicks, impressions, click-through rate and average position).
  • Website connections: we do not currently collect website log-in credentials. If publishing to a CMS such as WordPress becomes available and you choose to connect one, the credentials you provide would be stored encrypted so we can publish changes you approve.
  • Usage and marketing attribution: pages visited, the advert or campaign that brought you to us (e.g. UTM parameters and search keyword), a pseudonymous visitor identifier, and a one-way hash of your IP address used for abuse prevention.
  • Billing: handled by Stripe. We don't store your full card details.

How we use it

  • To run audits and provide the service: identify SEO opportunities, prepare website improvements, measure results and, where publishing is available, publish changes you approve.
  • To operate your account, send service emails (such as sign-in links and audit results), and provide support.
  • To send marketing email (occasional tips and product news) only if you ticked the box asking for it, on the audit page or in Settings. We record that you agreed, when, where and the wording you saw. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link, and you can turn it off in Settings at any time. Service emails (sign-in links, billing, account and support) are separate and continue.
  • To prevent abuse (rate limiting, bot protection) and keep the service secure.
  • To understand which marketing channels bring customers, so we can improve our marketing.

Legal bases (UK/EU GDPR): performance of our contract with you; our legitimate interests in operating, securing and improving the service; and consent where required (for example, non-essential cookies and marketing email).

Google user data

Aimaseo's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

  • We request read-only access to Google Search Console only to show you your search performance, find improvements for your website and measure the effect of changes.
  • We do not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, or use it to train generalised AI models.
  • We do not allow humans to read your Google data unless you ask us to (for support), it's needed for security or to comply with law, or it is aggregated and anonymised.
  • You can disconnect Google at any time in Settings or from your Google account permissions. We then delete stored tokens and, on request, the associated data.

AI processing

We use AI models (currently Anthropic's Claude API) to classify businesses and draft website improvements from your public website content and, where connected, your search data. Providers process this data on our behalf under contract and do not use it to train their models.

AI answer checks. If you use the AI answers feature, we send questions about what your business offers (for example “which dentist near Clapham does implants?”) to our data provider DataForSEO, which passes them to AI assistants (ChatGPT and Gemini) and returns the answers. The questions are written from what your website says; they never include your name, email address or account details, and we refuse questions that contain your business name or website address. We store the questions, the answers (full text for 90 days, then only the short verified excerpts and counts), the pages the answers cited, and the dates. Free-audit checks store the same for the audited website. You can export this data from Settings and it is deleted when you close your account.

Sharing

We share data only with service providers that help us run Aimaseo (hosting, database, email, analytics, payments, error monitoring, search-data and AI providers), under contracts that protect it, or where required by law. Some providers are in the US. Where data leaves the UK/EEA we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or Standard Contractual Clauses.

Retention

Anonymous audits are kept for up to 12 months. Account data is kept while your account is active. When you ask us to close your account (Settings → Your data), we revoke our access to Google and delete your account data within 30 days, except where we must keep records for legal or tax reasons (for example invoices, which our payment provider keeps). You can download a copy of your data at any time from Settings.

Your rights

You can request access to, correction or deletion of your personal data, object to or restrict processing, and request data portability. Email support@aimaseo.com. UK residents can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk). California residents have the right to know, delete and correct their personal information. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising.

Cookies

We use essential cookies for sign-in, security and to remember your cookie choice. With your consent, we also set two first-party cookies (aim_vid and aim_attr, kept for up to 12 months) that remember which ad, campaign or website brought you to us, so we can tell which marketing works. If you decline, we don't set them. We don't use third-party advertising or analytics cookies. You can change your choice at any time with “Cookie settings” at the bottom of our website.

Changes

We'll post any changes here and update the date above. For significant changes we'll notify account holders by email.
